About the ‘low-cost’ DNA map

(ANSAmed) – Rome, 6 Dec – preparing for the arrival of low-cost genetic maps: a new upswing in nanotechnology-based DNA sequencing technology promises reduced times and costs, to the point of making these technologies available worldwide. The work of researchers from the China University of the Jiaotong University and published science in China has improved the technique of sequencing based on a small nanopores opening which is unrolled and read human DNA in just 15 minutes.
