Doctor reports cases of adolescent prostitutes in L'Aquila (ANSA) – L’Aquila, November 5 – A doctor in the city of L’Aquila in central Italy has reported cases of girls under age 14 selling their bodies for cellphone top-ups. Police are investigating. Several cases of under-age prostitutes working semi-autonomously have been in the news lately, most notably that of two girls, 14 and 15, making big money working out of an apartment in Rome’s plush Parioli district.

Police say they have placed a dozen well-heeled clients under investigation in that case.
