Four Lazio fans released in Poland (ANSA) – Rome, December 12 – Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino on Thursday said four of 22 fans of the Lazio soccer club detained in Warsaw have been released. Speaking before the House and Senate foreign affairs committees, Bonino said another four were to be released tomorrow. Around 150 fans of the Rome club were detained before Lazio’s Europa League game against Legia Warsaw last month, allegedly for attacking police who were escorting them to the stadium.

Most were released in the days following the match after paying fines.
