Pope calls on Vatican TV to work as team for the Church

Pope calls on Vatican TV to work as team for the Church (ANSA) – Vatican City, October 28 – Pope Francis called on the staff of the Vatican Television Centre (CTV) Monday to work together as a team and remember their professional duties to the Church.

“Play like a team,” said the pope.

“The effectiveness of the pastoral work of communications is possible by creating bonds, by coming together around shared projects on a number of subjects: a unity of planning and resources,” the pope said as CTV marked the 30th anniversary of its founding in October 1983.

“We know this is not easy, but if we work together like a team, everything becomes easier, and more importantly, this style of your work will also be a witness of communion”.

He also urged the TV employees to remember to act with professionalism but “always in service to the Church, in everything: in filming, directing, in your editorial choices, administration … Everything can be done with a style, a perspective, that is that of the Church, that of the Holy See”.
