Six 'miracle pills' companies fined more than 1 mn euros (ANSA) – Rome, December 9 – The Italian anti-trust body handed out more than one million euros in fines Monday to six companies that had promised “miracle results” to the users of their products. Some had promised to help users lose seven kilos in seven days, while others had used advertising to convince buyers their products would deliver eternal youth, protection against cancer, or protection against Alzheimer’s disease. Companies fined included Centum, Xenalis, New Service Media, Quadratum and Royal Marketing Management whose combined penalties reached more than one million euros. ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
