16 hurt in Rome clashes

(ANSA) – Rome, November 16 – Sixteen people were hurt in clashes between police and social-housing protestors in Rome Thursday, officials said Friday.

Eight protestors have been cited for allegedly assaulting police officers.

The street violence was the worst in the Italian capital for two years.
