Global communication needs evangelical perspective, pope

(ANSA) – Rome, October 18 – Global communication needs an evangelical perspective, Pope Francis said Friday in a message sent to Mons. Dario Edoardo Vigano’, editor-in-chief of the Vatican Television Centre which was celebrating its 30th birthday at a gathering in Rome.

”In the past decades technology has travelled at great speed, creating unexpected interconnected networks”, the pontiff wrote.

”It is necessary to maintain an evangelical perspective in this sort of ‘global communication highway”’.

The Vatican Television Centre ”is at the service of the Gospel and Church”, the pope also noted.
