Government, intelligence ‘did not know of US spying’

(ANSA) – Rome, October 23 – Italian Undersecretary for Intelligence Marco Minniti on Wednesday reiterated Italian authorities were unaware of spying by US intelligence agency NSA.

”I reconfirm that neither the government nor our intelligence services knew of the existence of the Prism program”, Minniti told Parliament’s intelligence supervisory committee Copasir.
