Italy salaries registered no rise in September

Italy salaries registered no rise in September (ANSA) – Rome, October 24 – Hourly contract wages in recession-hit Italy registered no rise in September with respect to August, Istat said on Thursday.

But the national statistics agency said salaries were up 1.4% in September with respect to the same month in 2012.

With the annual inflation rate at 0.9% last month, this means real wages rose 0.5% in September – the highest level since August 2010.
