‘Left behind’ genes can cause cancer

Geni 'ritardatari'possono causare tumori(ANSAmed) – Rome, October 30 – punctuality is essential, even in the expression of the genes of DNA: an unexpected delay in its ‘return’ can exploit the chain of events necessary for the proper development of the embryo, causing birth defects, or could be the ‘guardian’ genes that we must defend against tumors. This is shown by the study of the Weill Cornell Medical College in New York, coordinated by Anna Di Gregorio of Italy. The results are published in the journal Plos Biology. All rights reserved
