Three men stick up Rome jewelry store (ANSA) – Rome, November 28 – Police are investigating a robbery involving three men who held up a Rome jewellery store Thursday, making off with numerous diamonds and other gems. Witnesses said the three posed as police officers upon entering, then held up the owner, tying him up and hitting him on the head with the butt of a gun before accessing the safe.

Some customers were also tied up by the robbers, said to have Neapolitan accents. The store is located between the central Trastevere and Monteverde neighborhoods.
