Courtroom organization and the lawyers’ strike planned for January 13-15 were cited as reasons for the decision. Knox, Kercher’s then roommate, and Sollecito, Knox’s boyfriend at the time, were jailed initially, first as suspects and then as convicted killers, before having their convictions quashed in 2011. PThe prosecution has asked for a 30-year jail sentence for Knox and 26 for Sollecito. A hearing is to begin on Thursday at 10 AM local time, in which the closing statements by Sollecito’s lawyers, Giulia Bongiorno and Luca Maori, are expected. On January 16 the rebuttal will be heard and the sentence is likely to come on January 20./PIMG id=mediaViewer title=”” alt=”” src=”http://www.mineralfossil.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/wpid-trasp3.gif”ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
