At 10pm Italian time, Asteroid 2014 DX110 will come within 350,0000 kilometers of Earth – closer than the moon. P”Even though the path is very close, the distance is, by all cases, absolutely non-threatening,” said Gianluca Masi, astrophysicist and scientific curator of Rome’s Planetarium. Measuring 30 meters in diameter, the asteroid will be visible from Italy, but due to its small size, it will be best seen using a professional telescope or via ANSA’s Science channel, which will be live streaming Virtual Telescope at 9:30pm local time./PP”It will be an amazing encounter,” commented Masi, who added that watching 2014 DX110 “will be like trying to follow a car running at high speeds in between the stars”. Asteroid 2014 DX110 will be near the North Star and on the border of constellations Cassiopeia, Cepheus and Camelopardalis./PIMG id=mediaViewer title=”” alt=”” src=”http://www.mineralfossil.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/03/wpid-trasp68.gif”ALL RIGHTS RESERVED
