Sea and sailing always synonymous of Virgin Islands British, destination of excellence of the Caribbean for lovers of boat holidays will have the possibility to discover the charm of 60 Islands to the most important event of this kind, the Genoa international boat show, from 2 to 6 October 2013. For the duration of the event, the British Virgin Islands Tourist Office will be present as an exhibitor, stand E1, to provide information and advice to the public on a trip to the British Virgin Islands.
The British Virgin Islands are considered one of the best destinations in the world for the Organization of holidays in sailing boat: the constant winds, safe landings, anchorages and well-protected, the attentive service and the proximity between the Islands that can navigate between “for show” are some of the features that make these islands a paradise for boaters. The British Virgin Islands, operated on the other hand, the most popular charter company in the world offering boats equipped for navigation, with or without crew.
During the year, the waters of the British Virgin Islands are important scenarios and sailing competitions. The most famous, the regatta Festival & spring sailing BVI, now in its 42 edition, will be held between March 31 and April 6, 2014 and will be attended by teams from around in the world, who will compete in the spectacular Sir Francis Drake Channel. The regatta is a feast of the sea which attracts a large audience that can attend competitions and immerse yourself in the sparkling atmosphere in the world.
To recreate this feast on the dock in the port of Genoa, the employers organize an aperitif of Venti on days of Salone Nautico, where to taste the typical cocktail of Islands as the painkiller, from the Pusser rum. Venue Wednesday 2 October at 5:00 pm and Thursday and Friday at 12: 00 and 17:00.
