Caracas authorities get 19 DNA samples from Missoni craft
(ANSA) – Caracas, November 8 – Prosecutors in Caracas said Friday they have retrieved 19 DNA samples from the remains of the crashed aircraft carrying Italian fashion designer Vittorio Missoni in January. Thirteen of the samples have already been identified, and 10 of them are reported by authorities to belong to the pilot, Herman Marchan. Another two have been tied to Missoni’s wife Maurizia Castiglioni, while the last one belongs to co-pilot Juan Carlos Ferrer.
The missing plane was recovered in June. Investigators are probing into the cause of the accident.
