Cosmic lens reveals the galaxy cluster

Lente cosmica svela ammasso galassie(ANSA) – MIAMI, 27 JUN – is 10 billion light years from our solar system and is the most massive cluster of galaxies ever observed at this distance. Its gravitational field creates a rare screen called gravitational lensing.

“When I saw him for the first time, I kept watching, thinking that he was going,” said Anthony Gonzalez at the University of Florida, author of the study, announcing the discovery, published in the Astrophysical Journal.
