







































(ANSA) – Bergamo, December 6 – A court in Bergamo on Friday sentenced a private security guard, 57-year-old Oscar Lombardoni, to two years in jail for killing a thief he caught stealing at night last June in a supermarket in the northern town of Albano Sant’Alessandro near Bergamo.
The court issued a conditional suspended sentence, which means Lombardoni will not go to jail provided he is not convicted of another crime in the future, and said the man acted out of self-defence, firing at the thief after he was attacked by him and mistook stones thrown against his car for gunshots.
