Crowd mobs Lefebvrian priest at Priebke funeral

Crowd mobs Lefebvrian priest at Priebke funeral (ANSA) – Rome, October 15 – An angry mob on Tuesday tried to attack a Lefebvrian priest as he entered St. Pius X church at Albano near Rome, where the funeral of Nazi war criminal Erich Priebke was being held. Police protected the priest, who struggled to enter the church as the crowd jostled and jeered at him.

Founded in 1969, the Lefebvrian order disagrees with the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. A Lefebvrian bishop famously denied the Holocaust before being ejected.
