Discovery of latest fossil from half billion years in the past sheds mild on life on Earth

A new species of fossil has been found that may make clear early animal ecosystems. Investigators found the brand new species whereas conducting a survey of microfossils in mudstones from western Canada. To their shock, the samples yielded miniscule loriciferans: a kind of animal so small it has been thought-about “unfossilizable”.
