Momotombo Erupts After 110 Years

On the 1st of December, Momotombo situated in Nicaragua (Central America), erupted after 110 years of inactivity. The pictures show a Strombolian eruption which produced lava fountains along with a large ash plume that rose a kilometer above before drifting in a south-west direction.
