Ferrari, disco among goods seized during Rome gang probe
(ANSA) – Rome, November 8 – More than 3 million euros in properties and goods, including a Ferrari, a restaurant and a disco in Rome’s Testaccio area, were seized by police Friday during a probe of the Casamonica criminal gang.
Police confiscated 12 cars, a large villa, and numerous bank accounts as part of their probe into the Rome-based gang which is accused of involvement in drug trafficking.
Police used wiretapping to track activities of the gang, which has been implicated in some of the biggest drug and loan-shark rackets in the Italian capital.
