Genes make sterile rice plants

(ANSA) – Beijing, 14 SEP identified three genes into the DNA of rice that make plants sterile hybrid born from the crossing of two maize varieties are widely available. The discovery, published in the journal Science, will make it possible to manipulate these genes in order to improve the quality and quantity of crops of a key food for the world’s population.
