He launched the India mission on Mars

(ANSAmed) – Rome, NOV 5 – India launched its first mission to Mars. The Mars Orbiter is playing with a rocket Pslv (Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle) from Satish Dhawan and the arrival on the red planet is scheduled on September 24, 2014. To date, the probe will be captured by Martian gravity and begin to orbit around the planet.

India joined as a member of the close circle of countries that so far have launched missions to Mars with the United States, Russia and the European Space Agency.
