how can I going about purchasing some of these minerals?

Look up gem and mineral shows in your area, there are often some amazing vendors at them, and they?re a lot of fun. Any local mineral/crystal shops will be pretty well stocked, but I know that those aren?t always around, the closest one to me is almost a two hour drive.?

So that leaves the internet! I get most of my nicer pieces from ebay, though a quick google search, especially if you know what you?re looking for. Googling??minerals for sale? is a good first step, as is looking up vintage collections being sold off.?

If you?re mostly looking for a sample that isn?t fabulous to just have an example of a mineral, metaphysical websites have some nice pieces, though they aren?t always necessarily something that I?d go for as a scientific sample.?

Then there?s the super obvious answer that is to go out in the field! Depending on where you live, really nice mineral samples might be right outside your back door! One of my friends found some really nice dolomite crystals right by the lake we go to school on, and we found some great stuff on a camping trip.

Good luck in your collecting endeavors!?
