Italian Christmas food and wine exports hit new record

PExports in December are forecast to grow by 16% for Italian sparkling wine, 14% for panettone Christmas cake, 8% for all Italian wines, 5% for salami, 4% for pasta and 3% for cheese. The US, Russia, and the UK drove Italian sparkling wine exports. Sales in US – the top export market for Italian sparkling wines – are expected to rise 24% in December compared to the same month last year.
