John was pope ‘of docility of spirit’

P(ANSA) – Vatican City, April 27 – John XXII was a pope who by calling the landmark Second Vatican Council showed “a delicate docility to the Holy Spirit,” Pope Francis said in his homily at the canonisation of the Italian ‘good pope’ Sunday. “He allowed himself to be led and was a shepherd for the Church, a led-leader,” Francis said. “That was his great service to the Church; that’s why I like to remember him as the pope of docility to the Spirit”.BR/P
