PPublic funds to Italy’s parties will drop by 25% this year, 50% in 2015 and 75% in 2016./PPMay’s European Parliament and regional elections will not receive any money from the public purse, although Italians may decide to donate 0.02% of their taxes to parties. The decree was passed by 312 votes to 141 with five abstentions./PPThe ruling Democratic Party and its junior partner the New Centre Right voted for the decree. The anti-establishment 5-Star Movement, the leftwing SEL and the regionalist Northern League voted against./P
