Pegmatite!

Yet another Southern Norway sample, this granite pegmatite is a specimen I haven?t seen the likes of before. As pegmatites usually have very large crystals up to 10?scm across, but as this sample is a granite, I was expecting more quartz or feldspar crystals, rather than the huge sheets of muscovite mica this sample has! Pieces of muscovite keep flaking everywhere whenever I move this sample, so it is now confined to a box where it can stop making a mess!
