Mammals, ‘secret weapon’ against viruses
(ANSAmed) – Rome, October 11 – the mammals have a secret weapon against the virus, which is also used by plants and invertebrates: defend themselves using the right arm of Dna, Rna, neutralizing attacks. The discovery, the result of two studies published in Science by the group led by Li Yang, of the University of California and Olivier Voinnet, of the Swiss Federal Institute of technology, could help develop new strategies to combat infections. So far, this mechanism has never been found in mammals. All rights reserved
