Man given one-month suspended sentence for slapping son (ANSA) – Arezzo, October 22 – An Arezzo-area man who slapped his six-year-old son because the boy didn’t want to read has been handed a one-month suspended sentence.

The slap, which occurred in 2009, was reported to police after the boy’s mother noticed the mark on his face when she returned from work.

The boy missed a few days of school after the incident.

The parents of the boy are now divorced.
