Migrant-boat in trouble, people in sea in Channel of Sicily

(ANSA) – Rome, October 11 – A boat carrying an estimated 250 migrants is in serious trouble in the Channel of Sicily and a number of people are in the sea, ANSA sources said Friday. Two Italian navy ships are in the area to help passengers of the boat, which may have capsized.

Over 300 people died in a migrant-boat disaster near the Sicilian island Lampedusa last week.
