Our featured shop this week is Lithic Design.?

?For as long as she can remember, Kaley has had a passion for creating things by hand. Several years ago, she took a basic metal fabrication class and fell in love with metalworking. College unfortunately did not work out for her, as she had to take a medical leave very early into her education. She still deals with severe fatigue and pain on a daily basis due to seven years of undiagnosed Lyme Disease, but making and selling jewelry has become a godsend. Since that early metals course, Kaley has been self-taught, but would love to work toward a degree in metal and jewelry design. Every day is a new learning experience for Kaley- she?s constantly improving her knowledge of the trade and slowly but surely building up her workshop. Much of Kaley?s work is inspired by nature, architecture, and historical design. She loves antique patinas on metal even more so than mirror finishes. She believes that there is much to be said about making a piece of jewelry that appears to have been rediscovered after years and years of natural oxidization- almost like digging up an archaeological relic. Another passion of hers is creating unique settings for stones that showcase their natural form. When Kaley is not making jewelry, you can find her gardening, cooking, crocheting, composing, and enjoying a cup of tea.??

We are so happy to have a plentiful collection of Lithic Design pieces on Mineraliety. ///////// www.mineraliety.com/shops/lithicdesign
