Pope says impossible to be ‘halfway’ Christian

Pope says impossible to be 'halfway' Christian (ANSA) – Vatican City, October 24 – It is not possible to be a “halfway Christian,” professing faith but living outside the Church’s teachings, Pope Francis said Thursday.

Instead, the faithful must commit fully to Christ and walk the path of holiness, said the pope.

In a homily during Mass at Saint Martha’s House, the Vatican residence where the pope lives, he said Christians can mark their lives by the periods before and after they encounter Christ.

“We have been re-made in Christ…it is a second creation,” said the pope. “After this re-creation we must make the effort to walk on the path of righteousness”.
