Renzi reiterates will respect EU limits

P(ANSA) – Rome, April 23 – Premier Matteo Renzi said Wednesday that his government will be able to boost Italy’s weak economic recovery while remaining within the European Union’s budget limits. Renzi made the pledge when responding to a question put to him via Twitter about Italy’s debt-to-GDP ratio, which Eurostat said Wednesday rose from 127% in 2012 to 132.6% in 2013. “The figures you cite refer to the GDP ratio, which has been negative in recent years,” he said. “Anyway yes,” he added, referring to whether he could still revive the economy.BR/P
