Bergamasco has not played for the Azzurri since suffering a nasty knee injury in a defeat to Australia in November 2012. PThe injury ruled him out of last year’s Six Nations campaign, when Italy matched their best-ever campaign by beating Ireland and France to notch two wins./PPBut he was not recalled for last November’s test-match series even though he was fit.
