Southern Italy: Earthquake hazard as a result of lively plate boundary

Tectonically, the Mediterranean is extraordinarily lively and thus threatened by pure catastrophes. Over the previous few years a world staff of researchers has intensively studied the seafloor south of Sicily and Calabria. In their research, they discovered proof for current tectonic exercise on a plate boundary, which may trigger robust earthquakes.
