Spread closes 2 pts up on 236
(ANSA) – Rome, December 5 – The spread between Italian 10-year bonds and their AAA-rated German equivalents, the premium investors pay to hold Italian paper, closed two points up Thursday on 236 with a 4.15% yield. The Milan bourse closed 1.7% down as European markets had a fourth straight day of losses after improving US economic data fuelled worries the Federal Reserve may start easing stimulus policies quicker than expected.
London was 0.18% down, Frankfurt 0.61%, Paris 1.17%, Madrid 1.56% and Athens 1.77% down.
