Three teens probed in stabbing death

P(ANSA) – Rome, April 11 – Police are investigating three underage Swiss students after their 16-year-old roommate died in a knife-throwing game Tuesday night while they were on a school trip to the Italian capital.BRThey may face charges of involuntary manslaughter or failure to rescue when their roommate received a five-centimeter knife wound to the chest that sliced his aorta, reaching his esophagus, investigators said. The boys were staying at Domus Nascimbeni, a youth hostel run by nuns just steps away from the Vatican.BRPolice have questioned a total of five students on the trip, taking fingerprints to compare to those found on the deadly knife.BRThey are also trying to ascertain how long the boy was left on the floor before emergency services were called, investigators said.BRAn autopsy on Thursday revealed the victim also had wounds to the face and head. It is not yet clear how he obtained those injuries.BRThe death may ultimately have resulted from a game gone wrong, an accidental fall, or an argument that degenerated into a fight, according to investigators.BR/P
