Top court clerk held in 'Ndrangheta boss 'trial-fix' case (ANSA) – Bologna, October 23 – A clerk at Italy’s supreme Court of Cassation has been arrested for allegedly telling a boss in the Calabrian ‘Ndrangheta mafia she could help fix a trial for him.

Teresa Tommasi was placed under house arrest in the probe, which involves two other unnamed persons.

Police said the trio told boss Nicola Femia, who is now in jail, they could influence the outcome of a trial for 400,000 euros.

No magistrates are involved, police said.

‘Ndrangheta is Italy’s richest and most dangerous mafia.
