Woman stabs son with kitchen knife

(ANSA) – Citta’ di Castello, October 16 – Italian police on Wednesday arrested a woman who repeatedly stabbed her reportedly autistic 11-year-old son with a kitchen knife in this Umbrian town.

The boy is in a serious but not life-threatening condition after being stabbed at least a dozen times, hospital sources said after he was operated on.

The woman, 50, who was being treated for depression, could face charges of attempted murder.
